Rain rain go away...

June has been a rough month. We've been receiving rain every day this month. I think there may have been one or two days nothing fell from the sky. Although this is lovely for the greenery, it is wrecking havoc on my outdoor runs. My son's baseball was in full force this month, boyfriends softball, working two jobs, *pfew* I'm wore out and ready for the summer of relaxation. The end of this week we head off to a family reunion on my side of the family, then week after that is my sons tournament, then the 4th of July, then...then..then... Does it ever really end? I'm thinking of cutting down even more on my hours at the night job, just so I can be around to do stuff in the evening with my family, other than sitting in bleachers at a peewee game. Don't get me wrong, I love baseball, and I absolutely love watching my son play, but when you combine that with everything else, let's just say, I'm glad it's almost coming to an end.

On another note, you ever have one of those mornings when it hits you that you forgot to do something pretty important as you were walking out of the door for the day? I did. I realized I had forgot to pack a lunch for myself. I was running late as it was and just didn't have time to even make a salad. Thankfully, we had made peas and wild rice pilaf the night before which there were leftovers of, and I had just a bit of roast beef deli meat. Threw it all in the same container and voila! Lunch. I know, my lunches are weird sometimes. I have a coworker that says so. Moving on....

Today, one of the supervisors brought in donuts. Glazed and Raised. How could I say no to that? I couldn't. And I enjoyed ever bite!

Today's lunch was again a bit of leftovers, but at least this time there was a bit more planning involved. We had made steak and rice tacos last night, so I just put some avocado, black olives, romaine lettuce and a bit of ranch with hot sauce in a container, then in a separate container had my rice and steak mixture with a bit of cheddar cheese. Like a taco salad, but without the tortilla chips. One of my favorite lunches actually.

Has anyone tried this gum? I just saw it for the first time in the store the other day. Trident's Island Berry Lime. It really tastes like a margarita. Ah, if only that margarita was on an island paradise....

Until next time! :)
